HKU to host Greater Bay Area Science Forum – Hong Kong Forum

The Greater Bay Area Science Forum – Hong Kong Forum: Sustainability Drive by Innovation will be held at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) on May 21 (Tuesday). The one-day event will feature an impressive lineup of speakers from various sectors, including industry leaders, policymakers, and academics from across the Greater Bay Area (GBA), focusing on innovative solutions for promoting sustainability.

The forum aims to strengthen the growing interest and commitment to sustainable development in the GBA by bringing together experts in entrepreneurship, innovation, science, and sustainability research and practice. These discussions will propel innovative solutions and cultivate collaboration within the GBA, leading the region towards a more sustainable and prosperous future.

The Hon. Paul Chan Mo-po, Financial Secretary of the Government of HKSAR; and Professor Xiang Zhang, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKU, will deliver welcome remarks.

Other notable speakers include the Hon. Chun-ying Leung, Vice-Chairman of National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference; Professor Chunli Bai, President of Greater Bay Area Science Forum and Former President of Chinese Academy of Sciences; and the Hon. Xi Wang, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province.
